Why are we here?

At Skip we view Cosmos as the last truly decentralized and values-driven ecosystem. That's why we've given our lives and careers to growing Cosmos and making it flourish.

By unifying Cosmos, the Hub, and the Stack, we can bring a tremendous amount of liquidity, new builders, and new ideas into this ecosystem that we all care so much about.

Making the Hub a real Hub.

We are super excited about turning the Cosmos Hub into a real "Hub" as it always meant to be, serving the broader Interchain.

- Providing services that help the interchain and Cosmos grow.
- Making the Hub a place where liquidity can get onboarded onto.
- Offering a perfect platform for new chains and applications to launch.

Priority #1: Increasing Liquidity in Cosmos

Every other problem in Cosmos comes downstream of liquidity. Liquidity is the lifeblood of every ecosystem that lets all the applications thrive.

Skip Protocol has a unique experience with onboarding liquidity, building out Skip:Go over the years, which now does roughly $1B volume a month.

Goal: To 100x Liquidity in Cosmos.

Priority #2: Improving UX

- Interacting with multiple Cosmos chains needs to feel like interacting with one chain.
- Faster block times: Sub second blocks.
- IBC v2, connecting chains beyond Cosmos (EVM, Solana, Rollups, etc.).
- Proper EVM, SVM and MoveVM support for Cosmos.

Goal: Make Cosmos the best application development platform in crypto.

Make the Hub provide value again!

We've been talking too much about value accrual in the past. First, the Hub has to give other chains something that is very useful to consume.

We think more about how to create value & then capture parts of it.

More Hub Experimentation

The Cosmos Hub needs to run more experiments and try new things.

- New kinds of applications.
- New ways of distributing ($ATOM) liquidity.
- New ways of approaching security.

Things that show signs of product market fit we keep, others we'll drop.

Doubling down on Institutional Adoption

Many institutions today choose Cosmos because it offers a sandboxed environment where they can run experiments tinkering around with their own Appchains:

- running their own infra.
- having their own gas dynamics.
- running their own consensus and infra logic.

AT Interchain Inc, we've hired an institutional lead to further grow institutional adoption of the Cosmos tech stack.

Chains like Provenance ($5B TVL) or Japanese banks already built with Cosmos tech. Cosmos is uniquely positioned to onboard more institutions to crypto.

IBC Eureka (IBC v2)

IBC Eureka is a revamped version of IBC that streamlines its architecture, removing barriers that made it difficult for external chains to implement, while preserving its core functionality.

IBC v2 can be implemented in any Virtual Machine (VM) like the EVM, SVM, or MoveVM in 3-4 weeks rather than 1 year.

Interchain Inc. will have various teams:

a) Cosmos Hub team: Lead by Mag.

b) Interchain Stack team : Lead by Barry.

c) Community & Growth team including the Skip:Go team.

Dedicated spaces featuring each one of those teams will come up next week.

What's the role of the ICF going forward?

- The Interchain Foundations (ICF) will continue strategic investments and grants as a Swiss foundation to grow the Cosmos ecosystem.
- Primarily, product strategy and growth work will be handled by Interchain Inc., led by Mag and Barry.
- The ICF will engage more closely with the community and integrate their feedback into its decision-making process.
